What can be reported
Reports may concern dates, dynasties, object descriptions, Chinese characters, pinyin, translations, source boundaries, image credits, rights status, broken citations or a passage that overstates the available evidence.
What helps us investigate
Please identify the page, quote or describe the disputed passage, and include a museum record, publication or other evidence when available. A disagreement is not dismissed because it concerns interpretation; we check whether the article represents uncertainty fairly.
How a report is reviewed
We return to the article’s source record and, when necessary, consult additional primary or scholarly material. A correction is not made solely to match an unattributed web summary. Rights and privacy reports may require proof of ownership or identity.
How changes appear
Spelling and formatting fixes may be made without a separate notice. A substantive factual or interpretive correction changes the reviewed date and should include a short note explaining what changed. If evidence is insufficient, the claim may be narrowed or removed.
How to report a problem
Use the working address on the contact page and include “Correction” in the subject line. That address must be activated before public launch.
